Criteria for Aspiring Contestants

  1. Age Requirement:
    • Contestants must be between 18 and 27 years of age at the time of application.
  2. Lagos State Representation:
    • Applicants should either be residents of Lagos State or have strong ties to Lagos (e.g., family roots, schooling, or work), representing one of the five divisions: Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, or Epe.
  3. Passion for Community Service:
    • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to community involvement and social impact, with a willingness to contribute to projects that benefit their local communities.
  4. Cultural Appreciation:
    • Contestants should have a genuine interest in celebrating Lagos’ heritage and a passion for sharing the city’s rich culture, history, and traditions.
  5. Strong Communication Skills:
    • The ability to communicate confidently and effectively is essential. Contestants will need to share their ideas, projects, and experiences both online and in person.
  6. Leadership Qualities:
    • Candidates should possess leadership potential, as they will be mentored by celebrity coaches and participate in projects aimed at developing teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Creativity and Uniqueness:
    • The Queen of Ibile Pageant seeks contestants who bring their unique personality and creative vision to the table, especially for tasks such as showcasing their favorite spots in Lagos and promoting the city’s beauty and potential.
  8. Commitment to Pageant Activities:
    • Contestants must be available for all scheduled activities, including online coaching sessions, community projects, and the grand finale, with dedication to fulfilling all pageant responsibilities.
  9. Social Media Presence:
    • A basic understanding of social media is beneficial, as contestants will be promoting Lagos and participating in digital activities aimed at engaging a wider audience.
